The second runway of Kempegowda international airport, runway upgraded for low visibility

The second runway of Kempegowda the global air terminal here has been moved up to encourage the smooth activity of flights in any event, during low perceivability.


Severe climate and foggy conditions will presently have negligible effect on the development of airplane, the Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL), which works the air terminal said in an assertion.


Supporting smooth activities during low perceivability is the recently introduced progressed Instrument Landing System (ILS), Airfield Ground Lights (AGL), meteorological hardware, for example, Transmissometre, Automatic Weather Observatory Station (AWOS), Surface Movement Radar (SMR), and other navigational guides, it added.
