Four people injured in grenade attack in Srinagar on R-Day eve

 A day in front of Republic Day festivities, assailants on Tuesday heaved an explosive towards security faculty in the bustling Hari Singh High Street region of the city, bringing about wounds to four people including a cop and two ladies, authorities said.


The ultras heaved the projectile towards a group of safety staff at Hari Singh High Street at around 3.30 PM, they said, adding the explosive detonated by the side of the road.


Four people were harmed in the impact. They have been distinguished as police controller Tanveer Hussain who is posted with ACB, Mohammad Shafi, his significant other Tanveera and another lady Asmat.


The harmed were raced to a medical clinic where their condition was expressed to be steady, the authorities said.


The security powers have cordoned off the area and sent off searches to man the ultras.


Security has been reinforced in the city and somewhere else in the valley to guarantee smooth Republic Day festivities.
